What's on this website?
This website has been jointly developed by BAE Systems and Redrow, who are working together to regenerate the former Royal Ordnance site at Bishopton, Renfrewshire, Scotland.
BAE Systems and Redrow have submitted a number of outline and detailed planning applications for their regeneration proposals. A series of exhibitions were held locally in Bishopton in 2006 to explain to the local community what is proposed in these planning applications.
The purpose of this website is to make the content of those exhibitions more widely available, together with other information which has been submitted to Renfrewshire Council and the Scottish Executive as part of the statutory planning process.
The website contains information on:
- The outline planning application submitted in June 2006 for regeneration of the whole site. A related exhibition was held on 3 and 4 May 2006 at Bishopton Sports and Social Club.
- Subsequent detailed planning applicationssubmitted in October 2006 for specific aspects of the site’s regeneration – a motorway junction, remediation and a landfill site. A related exhibition has been on display at the entrance to the Royal Ordnance site, Bishopton since 27 September 2006.
- Documents submitted by BAE Systems and Redrow as part of the Examination in Public being held by the Scottish Executive in April 2007 into the proposed Structure Plan alteration to identify Bishopton as a “Community Growth Area”.
