Detailed planning applications
In May 2006, we said that we would be submitting a number of detailed planning applications to Renfrewshire Council later in the year. This will now be happening during October 2006.
This part of the website contains information on these detailed planning applications:
- Motorway junctionthis application is for a new M8 motorway junction to manage the main traffic flows to and from an expanded community and employment area.
- Remediation and landfillthis refers to two related applications. The first application is to undertake and manage remediation of the site and associated earthworks, to remove derelict buildings and infrastructure and create a safe environment appropriate for the development proposed in the outline application. The second application is for a licensed ‘non-hazardous’ land fill facility on the site, dedicated specifically to providing a safe repository for some of the wastes generated by this site’s reclamation process.
We consulted local residents on these issues in May 2006 using an exhibition and questionnaire survey. The exhibition and questionnaire used in this pre-application consultation are also available in this part of the website.
Please note that the the pre-application consultation proposals are for reference purposes only. They have been superseded by the more detailed proposals for the motorway junction and remediation and landfill (see links above).
